life now

It's the holidays now. It's very boring. Although it's only been 3 days since holidays started, the boredom level is astounding. My brother's on the laptop playing Kane's Wrath, so I can't play that, since only one computer in the house can support the requirements. Lack of Streamyx means I can't go online everyday to chat, so I resort to going to college to go online. Book-reading is almost out. Either the books at home are done, or else I'm not into them. [Chronicles of Narnia, all 7, finished within 2 days]
Oh well, whining alone can't achieve much, so I borrow books from the library. Hopefully they can sustain me through the holidays. I miss my friends. I do. Now I'm just waiting for the second semester to start.

tagging as a sport...

Odd how some people love to tag others. Odd, just very odd... You don't really get recognized unless you do it enough...
So here goes, tagged by Kay-Li [nooooooooooooooooooo...]

You're really upset, who is the first guy you'll go to?
Nobody, all I do is lock myself in my room and then start CoD 4...

If someone liked u right now, would u want them to tell u?
Depends on who that someone is...

Does it matter to you if your boyfriend/girlfriend smokes? Why?
God save that fella then, cos I don't like it...

Last person you texted?
Jason, on Kane's Wrath

What's something you MUST do before you die?
Nothing but sex, it's one of life's greatest pleasures...

When is the last time you went out of the country and where?
Secret dun wan tell u =P... ok, it was to Gold Coast, say 2 years ago...

Who was your last received call from?
Must have been Matthew, asking whether I was going to watch movie with them...

What are you doing tonight?
Goodness knows, I'm not that psychic or forward-looking...

What are you looking forward to?
Kane's Wrath! [thanks, Jason]

Have you ever been on a roller coaster?
Yes, at least 5 times... [thanks to Gold Coast]

Do you care what others think about you?
A little, as long as they don't kill me for it...

Do you take showers at night?
If the weather's hot all day...

Name the best person who could cheer you up?
Try and guess... nobody!

Have you been to New York City?
I wish!

God bless all here, cause I've got no clue.

For the worse, yes. Matthew is a good example.

cyclotron suggestions

It was suggested some time ago in my class that we build a cyclotron dedicated to Taylor's. Well, that idea is still active, just that the charged particles are slightly odd.

As you can see from the red words, this charged particle is rather... exotic. So, off we go to rank Taylor's in the list of colleges with cyclotrons! As long as Tim continues to be excited by this, and as long as Mr John decides to help us a little, then we can do this project. Much better than other dumb mega projects the government tries.

post-exam mindset

Finally, today, mid-year exams are over. Truely, officially, OVER. Oh well, now most of us have to adapt back to normal sensible civilian life. That means I can have fun again with the mini lab in the corner of my room...
I hope to get Kane's Wrath to ease the boredom of the holidays. Hopefully the new factions in the expansion can be of some use in real matches.
Although the blog posts seem to be shortening I'll see what interesting stuff I can post here...

exams

Next Tuesday is mid term. I already know what it feels like to have bloggers' block. Besides, I don't think I can study well. Just yesterday the proposed study group turned into a Halo 3 gaming session. Darn fun.
Then again, too many people think that I can breeze through stuff and that I don't have to do much. Darned wrong those people are. I still need infusions of stuff to do things properly.
Oh well, gotta go ahead and get back to studying. Good luck for mid term, and may the Force be with you.

the stuff that our MPs love

MPs such as Khairy love acronyms. If he likes to say things like Projek Khinzir Raksasa and thinks he can get away with it, of course he couldn't. That's why it is good for the Opposition MPs to shout him down a little. Babi Nasional lah, anything good that comes to mind should be thrown at him for just a short while to shut him up a little. But then, what goes on in the House, doesn't stay in the house for long. So whatever the PR MPs have done, hopefully teach Khairy not to simply insult anybody. Furthermore, the guy has the cheek to say that he only meant to say Projek Khinzir Raksasa in jest. Wtf lah.
Oh well. This is M'sian life as we know it....

jpa

Today I went to check the status of my JPA application. Every other fella in class who went for the interview had already checked, so I was the only fella who didn't check. How sad. Anyway, from what I gathered, Jason, Hann Tat and Anderson had already been accepted for the scholarship. Oh well.
Then when I got round to check the status of my application, the now famous words appeared. "Dukacitanya......" I didn't bother to read the rest of the sentence. It just meant that I didn't get the darned thing.
Oh well. I don't mind, really. It's overrated..... although free money isn't that overrated.....

politicians and what they will do...

They sent RPK to Sg. Buloh jail. Not fair. And on charges of sedition. Not fair. Anybody can make such statements, from teachers in schools, to students in university, to the apek and uncles in the corner kopitiam. Anybody can ask that the Altantuya murderers should be sent to hell. I mean, if somebody says something that hurts you very much, it is within all of your rights to say that the somebody should be sent to hell. Or you can pray that the fella gets into a car crash that only a superhuman miracle can save him/her. The truth hurts. Of course it does. But does that mean that anything that hurts others is considered seditious? It's just dumb. Too damn dumb.
There is a Malay saying that "siapa makan cili dia terasa pedas". Maybe that's why Najib thinks that RPK should be charged for sedition. He did it, or else he was involved in the act somehow. Oh well. Something has to be done to rectify this. And it had better be fast.

Mondays

It's a gloomy morning now. I'd rather be at home thrashing it out with GDI and Nod. Of course, this being Monday, I can't do that. How annoying.
Just finished titration experiment in class. Quite fun, got the required results. Still, experiments are the best way for me to play. As usual, I'm not the only fella who likes to borrow stuff from school labs on extended loans. That's the way students seem to see the labs as, as markets for their chemical needs.
Stupid ESL folio due today for checking. I can safely say that half of the fellas in my class hasn't finished the stuff for it. The other half have then almost finished their projects. Typical us, procrastination is our middle name. For some, it is their first name, for others, their last name. Oh well. Life is fun.

i hate SAM, but what to do?

The fun of SAM is the ability to escape from M'sia within a year, at the expense of studying less than others. However, the downside is that you have a heck load of projects to complete within the year. Just next week, there are several projects due:

ESL: 6/5/08
Physics: anytime next week
Teachers' day class party: 9/5/08 [strictly not a project unless something says it is]

Oh yes, the teachers' day celebrations meeting. Unfortunately no futsal can be held in the MPH. Darn. Then some more got class party after the ceremony in MPH. It would be fun to "accidentally" leave out a teacher or 2 from the party. Oh well. We'll just have to see how it all goes.

political blogging

I love the politicians. They give us so much free entertainment [parliament debates with lots of mudslinging], and now they start blogging. Mahathir, Khir Toyo, Khairy, Samy Vellu... all these guys start blogging already. And this isn't just the old guys starting. New guys like Jeff Ooi and Tony Pua already blog.
I dunno whether this will seriously affect the blogosphere. Already many of us blog, and I doubt the government can try to stop most of us. Blogging has been called the alternative media, for situations when there's a news blackout. So I guess if May 13 ever repeats here, we can always rest assured that the riots won't happen again. Not unless we sit still and watch the people outside fight each other.
Oh well. Life's gonna be so much more fun

i hate life 2day... [juz another emo post]

i hate life 2day. stupid m'sian studies class. darn classmates to ask half-intelligent questions. stupid ppl with interesting blog names. later some more got this stupid SCC meeting for teachers' day. god knows why they want the class reps 2 attend. that guy tim didn't come some more 2day.
damndamndamndamndamndamndamndamndamn.
